Foreign everywhere.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Pastor Bob Thibodeau here.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Welcome to the Faith Based Business podcast.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Today we're so blessed you're joining us.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Today we're going to talk about storytelling, storytelling with a purpose.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Now we're going through this to help you build out the kingdompreneur experience.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Amen.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

So if you missed any of the prior episodes, go back and catch up.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Let's jump right into today's episode.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Because you know, your personal story, folks, it's really a testimony of God's faithfulness.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

If you want to get right down to it, you know, share how your faith journey has helped your, your business and your mission and how you do what you do.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Let me go ahead and share this screen.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

We'll jump right into it.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Amen.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

So you know when you are storytelling with a purpose, when you do that, you are down there so I can see you, right?

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

You're sharing your mission.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

It gives your clients a reason to connect with your vision on a basically a spiritual level.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

You cannot grow your business folks, your client base and all that with them believing in you, your integrity, your ability to help them.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

They need to know that, they need to understand it, they need to believe that.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

So in order to do that, you just need to be authentic in everything you're doing.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Amen.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Now, client success stories basically demonstrate the real world impact of what you do.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Your work.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Highlighting these stories shows your potential clients how you help others achieve their transformation.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

When your mission aligns with their goals, your clients will become basically living examples of your business's effectiveness and their purpose stories will also allow you a powerful way to address client challenges.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Things that they experience, things that they want to overcome.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Just share examples of how you solved similar problems for others, positioning your service as the solution.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

This approach resonates emotionally and builds trust as clients are able to see themselves in the story that you're telling.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Think about some of the, the parables of Jesus.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

We'll use that as an example.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

This is the exact method you, you would use to get them to see through their eyes of faith into what's possible.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Why is that?

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Well, if you could get them to see, the answer is already achieved by faith.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

They now have something to work with.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

And you do the same thing with your clients.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Amen.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

That's all Jesus did.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

He got them to use their eyes of faith to see what was possible.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

And then tell them, now, as you believe in your heart, that's how it'll be right?

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

So you need to do the same thing.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Amen.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

But to do that, you have to keep Your stories.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Relatable.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Relatable stories are definitely more impactful.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

And, you know, just avoid being overly complex, I mean, overly complex narratives by focusing too much on your success.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Oh, look at all this stuff I've done.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Don't do that.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Instead, center your story on shared experiences.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Bring them into the story.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Emphasize how your values and services align with their needs.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

This relatability will foster a deeper emotional connection.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

And, you know, when I attend training, there's nothing that turns me off faster than the host spending 20 minutes, sometimes more, telling us their rags to riches story.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

I don't care, okay?

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Period.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

I know they're trying to prove to the attendee that in some form or fashion, they know what they're talking about.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

I get that.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

That's the purpose of it.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

But do I really need to know that?

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

No.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Do I need to see pictures and stories of their mansion and their fancy cars and their private airplanes and.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

And how they're speaking on stages in front of thousands of people?

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

No.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Why?

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Why are they doing these?

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

What.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

What is their motivation to do this?

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

What.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

What are they doing in these situations?

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

What they're doing, I guess you could say, is they're trying to create the vision that this could be you.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Okay, I get that.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

I get that.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

But just like a.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Just like I despise car salesmen when I go shopping for a car, okay, I want to see what I want to see, and then I want to talk to someone.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

But what happens as soon as.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

You know, I only go car shopping about once every 10 or 12 years.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

10 or 12?

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Oh, yeah, yeah.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Why is that?

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Because the idea of a typical car salesman.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Now, if you're a car salesman, I apologize for stereotyping you, okay?

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

But just like the multi millionaire giving a presentation using the extreme example, you know, that's exactly what I just did.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

I know each and every one of you is just what I said about the used car salesman or car salesman.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

You're shaking your head in agreement right now, right?

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Why?

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Because everyone has experienced this in some form or cash.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

You know, now there's great car salesmen out there.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

I just bought a new car last year, okay?

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

My old one finally up and died.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

But, you know, I said, I.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

I believe in paying them off and driving them till they're ready to clonk out on you.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

You know, but that's just my personal sentiments on driving a car.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

But everyone has experienced this sense of dread when you're going to look for a car.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Amen.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

And this is usually what you think of.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

There's people like this that are in the pictures right now, right?

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

But why did I say all that?

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Don't tell them your rags to riches story and making yourself like you know, you know, you.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

You'll never achieve my greatness.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Well, you could, but you'll never achieve my greatness without my help.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

You know that's what they're trying to tell you, right?

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

No.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Tie the stories back to your mission.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Every story you share should reinforce your business's mission and your business's values.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Let me say that again.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Every story you share should reinforce your business's mission and values.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Whether it's your testimony or a client success story.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Connect it back to the bigger picture, okay?

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Your commitment to serving others and glorifying God, that should be the big picture you're tying every story to.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

This keeps your storytelling focused, folks.

Pastor Bob Thibodeau:

Focused and purposeful.
