Prosperity is Encouraged in the Bible
Introduction of Job's Prosperity and Uprightness
God is using Job as an example of what happens when you live right with God! Everyone wants to use Job as an example of when things go bad… how you have to maintain your Faith in God. But that is not what the Bible depicts. When things went south for Job it was because the devil was trying to tell God that Job was not really a believer in Him – in God.
This scripture echoes the sentiment expressed in Matthew 6:33 (NIV), where Jesus instructs his followers to prioritize righteousness and trust in God: "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."
Job's example underscores the compatibility of success in business with a life dedicated to serving God.
