The first question I always start with is this. Other than that brief information I just shared, can you tell us in your own words, “Who is Tanya Akimenko?”

How long have you been doing accounting, business accounting, tax preparations, etc.? 

Tanya, as a seasoned tax accountant and entrepreneur, what inspired you to create the DIY Business Success program, and how does it uniquely empower small business owners to take charge of their finances?

You’ve emphasized the importance of stewardship in business. How do biblical principles like Proverbs 27:23-24 and Luke 16:10 shape the way you approach financial management and train others through your program? 

We deal a lot…and I mean “a lot” with podcasting and other podcasters in our ministry. As podcasting grows in popularity, many entrepreneurs are launching shows as part of their business strategy. What financial considerations should podcasters keep in mind when starting or maintaining a podcast?

Some podcasters may wonder if their podcast qualifies as a business or a hobby. What criteria should they consider, and why is this distinction so important for tax purposes? 

For podcasters looking to monetize their shows, what financial strategies or tax implications should they be aware of to ensure they’re prepared for the added income?

Should they be preparing like this even before they earn income?

Give us some information on the IRS qualifications for something that almost every podcaster thinks they can claim – the “home office deduction!”
