Conflict Intelligence Quotient – Yvette Durazo

There is conflict all around us. You see it every night on the news, right? Sometimes, the conflict boils over into violence. Not all the time – but it does happen. So, if conflict is so prevalent, what do we put up with it? Why don’t we try to come to some kind of resolution before it has to escalate.

Our guest today does just that. Yvette Durazo is the founder of Unitive Consulting, which is an organizational effectiveness and strategic conflict management and mediation firm specializing in partnering with professionals and their organizations to develop the skills and attitudes to mitigate conflict and improve their businesses. She is an external Chief Civility Officer and has more than 20 years of experience working as a liaison for businesses and non-profits on both sides of the US/Mexico border.

Yvette is also the author of a great book that helps to uncover the root causes of conflict and offer some solutions. It is titled, “Conflict Intelligence Quotient - Conflict-IQ” which helps to turbocharge conscious leaders and organization’s emotional intelligence.

First question I always ask is this. Other than that brief information I just shared, can you tell us in your own words, “Who is Yvette Durazo?”

How was it you discovered that “Conflict Resolution” was something other people and businesses needed to know and have help with?

I’m pretty sure that we have some business owners or CEO’s listening right now that have that kind of situation… So I’m believing this interview will be a blessing to them.

I know there must be several solutions out there, but can you share with us what made you create this unique solution to those who have this issue?

How do you accomplish this for your clients?

As you were developing this, what was one of the major obstacles you faced in creating this program?

Now that you are helping others with this issue, how has your business grown?

You’ve seen this making a positive impact with the businesses that have implemented this program?
